This year's Road Safety Week theme was “Be a Road Safety Hero”.
This year we held a virtual event for the second year running with St Agnes RC Primary School, Cricklewood & Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Watford.
With over 170 children taking part we arranged fun games to help learn about road safety and the dangers of blind spots and more… as well as every child receiving a reflective snap on bands and certificate for taking part we also picked 12 winners from our Brake, the road safety charity Safety Hero Poster competition!
Our hero “Donnie” taught the children about the safety features in our trucks as well as the dangers of blind spots and how to cross the road safely while testing them on being alert by listening out for different road safety heroes and how they can play their part in being a road safety hero.
Testimonial from Anna from Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Watford:
"Thank you so much for the road safety resources and the time and effort PB Donoghue put into communicating it all. What PB Donoghue provided was easy to use and the children loved it.
Thank you also for the generous prizes.
We would love to take part again."
Testimonial from Siobhan at St Agnes RC Primary School, Cricklewood:
Our school is so grateful for the support and ideas PB Donoghue has shared with us to raise awareness in Road Safety week and also supporting our topic within Year 2.
The children have told us how they are more aware of the importance of looking left and right and crossing the road safely, as well as the importance of LISTENING.
